Promises in God's Word on Wealth and Prosperity

In the course of my study I came across the following lovely list of promises in God's Word on Financial Success, Wealth and Prosperity for His children:

Seem it was't only me struggling with it this week :) One of my favourite blogs to read is that of The Unveiled Wife.

Jennifer's brutally honest post about money worries stealing your joy really touched me. We just need to hold on to God and know that he knows our needs, otherwise those worries steals our biggest possible blessing - The Joy God pours into our hearts.

God Is In Control Of Your Resources - And He Can Multiply It!

I'm sure you often feel like me. I really want to live the life God intended me to and do what He created me to do, but I just don't have enough of anything! Not enough time, not enough money, not enough contacts.

What I forget and what you shouldn't forget is that all we have is from God. He gave us all that (and if you actually go and make a list I'm sure he blessed you beyond what you think you have!) and he promise in His word that he will multiply what He gave us if we start using it to build His kingdom. 

Are You Faithful With What You Have?

During August when I was still contemplating and thinking about this blog I received this very inspiring message in my inbox from Joel and Victoria Osteen. It was one of the the very definite confirmations for me that I start making changes, and with God's help, inspire others to do so. Something inspiring for you to think about today :)

Is Prosperity always from God?

"What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but loses his soul? (Mark 8:36)
We often think that prosperity can only be from God. Financial prosperity, opportunities,chances, promotion - all these things bring bring good things into our life and helps us to do good things, right? And if its good it has to be from God right?
Prosperity is about moving forward. Moving towards a destination, and because of that prosperity must be seen in context. Prosperity is ONLY good if it is moving you towards God's goal for you.

Prosperity is God's Plan for You

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" Jeremiah 29 :11

Isn't great to know that God has planned for you, when he created you, to prosper? "But why am I struggling so?" some us might ask. One thing I know, God's word is the absolute truth, And He never breaks his promises. The definition of prosperity according to this is therefore:

When all is said and done...

Everybody needs a little spiritual pick me up every now and then. I had to smile when I read my daily spiritual pick me up today. It was spot on what I posted earlier today and a bit of grace confirming that I am doing what God intended me to do:

"So many people live life worried about what everyone else thinks and wondering how they can impress other people. But we have to realize that when we come to the end of life, we’re not going to stand before people to give an account of our lives, we are going to stand before Almighty God. He is not going to say, “Why didn’t you do what so-and-so said to do? Why didn’t you fit into their mold? Why didn’t you take their opinion?” No, He is going to ask, “Did you become who I created you to be? Did you stay true to what I put in your heart?”

Growing Money God's Way :)

To add to the good news of the fact that God wants you to prosper on all levels, God wants the the process of you getting to prosperity yo be easy:

Proverbs 10:22 "The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it."

Isn't that the greatest relief? That God wants the process to be easy? But with any privilege such as this there is a duty that we must fulfill.

In all the scripture that I looked at yesterday and in Leviticus 25 18-22 God explains the commensurate duty that goes with this privilege:

" 'Follow my decrees and be careful to obey my laws, and you will live safely in the land. Then the land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill and live there in safety. You may ask, "What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?" I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years."

Does God want you to be Rich?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has wondered about this question. Who has wondered about the fairness of Christians suffering poverty while the non-believers have a royal time gathering riches. In fact most people grow up with the idea that poverty is a virtue. But does God want us just to get by, or even live in poverty?

Seek Me and Live

At the beginning of this journey with God and how I deal with money, one thing was clear to me: I was not doing it right and I seriously needed guidance from God in how to deal with this. But where to start?

Just do it

This blog has been brewing in my heart for a few months. I have prayed about it, trying to reason myself out of this new path. I am not yet qualified in this field and God revealed to me the very thing I struggle with most, as the field He wanted me to coach in.
